I found out on Facebook, that the Sofitel Manila hotel will be closing.
Yes, I admit that I have never entered the aforementioned hotel.

Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2

Today, January 13, 2024, is my flight going to Tacloban in Leyte.

This flight will be my second flight in NAIA Terminal 2 with Philippine Airlines, since my mother, and older siblings, and I went to Hong Kong for a vacation in 2000.

This flight will be also my second flight with Philippine Airlines.

This flight will be my first flight since my mother & I went to Tacloban last Februart 2013 before Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda, and last 2014 months after the aforemention typhoon.

This flight will be also my flight since my family (parents, older brother, sister-in-law, and two/2 nephews) since our one/1 week vacation in Cebu last June 2019.

Uuwi kami ng nanay ko sa Tacloban, Leyte, sa darating na January 2024. May ticket na kami.

Nung nakahanap ako ng hotel, ang sabi sa akin ng nanay ko, ay maghanap ako ng hotel na malapit sa V&G Subdivision. Nakahanap naman ako.

Ang kaso dito ay, namamahalan ang nanay ko. Nagsabi sa akin na maghanap ako ng mas mura.

Naghanap naman ako. May kalayuan sa nabanggit/nasabing subdivision. Yung dalawang nahapan ko, ay may kamahalan. Yung pangatlo, naman ay mura. Pero ang tatlong ito ay, may kalayuan sa V&G Subdivision.

Iba iba ang presyo sa websites ng Booking, Agoda at, Trip Advisor. Kaya ako, nahihirapan ako maghanap ng hotel.

My mother and I will go home to Tacloban, Leyte, this coming January 2024. We already have tickets.

When I was looking for a hotel, my mother told me to look for a hotel in V&G Subdivision. I found it.

The case here is, my mother find them quite expensive. Told me to find something cheaper.

I searched. There is a distance from the aforementioned/said subdivision. The two I found, quite expensive. The third one is cheap. But these three are far from the V&G Subdivision.

Prices vary from Booking, Agoda and Trip Advisor websites. So me, I'm having a hard time looking for a hotel.

Christmas 2021 at the shopping malls.

I can’t remember when I started taking pictures of Christmas decorations in shopping malls here in the Philippines, since “I had a job” in Ortigas.

I haven’t been able to take pictures of Christmas decorations in shopping malls here in the Philippines done in the COVID-19 pandemic. Well, except for SM Sucat in Parañaque City.

I don't know if I can do it, for some reason, I don't have an update on commuting here in Metro Manila. Even though I want to Grab, I don't have the money to pay.

McDonald's and Popeyes in the Philippines.

I just found out today that the McDonald's branch in SM City Sucat, Parañaque City, is already closed. It is being replaced by Popeyes.

Popeyes is used to have a branch in SM City Pampanga.

I haven’t tried eating at Popeye’s yet. And Popeyes will replace McDonald's, in SM City Sucat.

PWD ID and 20% discount

I posted a blog about PWD ID in this blog of mine. Kindly check it out.

When my family & I in the SM City Sucat branch of Jollibee in Parañaque City, we took home burger meals. Mine is Bacon Cheesy Burger with Coke and fries. The price of it in regular/small-sized cup of coke and small/regular-sized pack of fries is at least 120 pesos.

So, technically, my parents also experience the 20% percent of my PWD ID. I didn't experience the the aforementioned percent discount of my own.

Here in the Philippines, Filipinos who are senior citizens and PWDs have senior citizens and PWD cards. And PWD means persons with disability.

Something about El Pueblo, in Ortigas, Pasig.

I don't remember the last time I was in El Pueblo, in Ortigas, Pasig. Before the COVID-19 pandemic started, there are times that one of my usual routes is the aforementioned location.

El Pueblo is a located in the corner of Julia Vargas, and ADB Avenue. And near Metrobank and The Podium.

Japanese food and Japan.

This weekend family & I had Japanese food. Last night, we had ramen and baked salmon.

Tonight, we had miso soup, wagyu soup, tempura. I don’t know the name for the rice.

To be honest, I would love to try and eat japanese foood made and cooked by the Japanese. And Jaoan is one (1) of the countries I want to visit after the pandemic ends.

Pop-up library "Book Stop" resumes operations in Intramuros, Manila.

I first learned about the re-opening of the pop-up library "Book Stop", is from an article on Manila Bulletin, on my Facebook feed.

Last year, I contacted "The Book Stop Project" on its Facebook fan page last year, on how to give or donate some of my books. But the reply is that they currently do not accepting donation(?) to due to the pandemic.

And yes, The Book Stop Project has a Facebook fan page.

Ilang beses na akong nakapunta sa Baguio. I don't remember the very first time that I went to Baguio.

The most recent is in December 2018.

My family is planning to go to Baguio this long weekend due to my nephews' school has/have no classes on Monday February 24. And of course, on Tuesday, February 25 is a special non-working holiday, due to Edsa People Power.

Before that, my family is planning to go to Pangasinan. Maybe thy planning to go to Manaoag Church. I (don't/do not) know.
