Turtles All the Way Down (novel)

I'd read most of John Green's books except for "Let It Snow: Three Holiday Romances", and for "Will Grayson, Will Grayson."

I forgot on how I learned about his new novel "Turtles All the Way Down." I couldn't find a book trailer of the book on YouTube, but here's a video about the book the vlogbrothers' YouTube channel.

The 2017 Philippine Readers and Writers Festival

I have long wanted to participate in "The Philippine Readers and Writers Festival" of National Bookstore, in Raffles Makati, since its inception in 2014. The festival is held every year at Raffles Makati.

For some reasons, and for financial reasons, I can not go. Hopefully, I can go and attend this year's 2017 edition.

There are scheduled activities/lectures/seminar for each day. I just don't know if these events are free or not/otherwise.

For more information, kindly visit the following link(s)/website(s).

"Beauty and the Beast" / "Faith"

I'm a fan of John Legend since "Ordinary People", while I have no knowledge on any songs performed by Ariana Grande.

I didn't expected that Ariana Grande has a good voice in the song. Meanwhile, puwede na yung boses niya sa "Faith."

Class suspension today.

Today, most schools and city governments suspend classes due to Typhoon/Storm Gorio.

I remember when I was a 1st/first year high school student, when my classes are held every morning, and when my classes on Friday, I noticed that the afternoon classes of students are suspended. I don't know why the afternoon classes are suspended.

I also remember this.

Way back 1999, when my uncle and my male cousin had their vacation here in the Philippines and stayed in our house for few days. My classes are held every afternoon. I remember that the afternoon classes are suspended for one/1 week.

Long time, no post. / Coffee Project

It's been almost a month since my last post. My last post is about the book "Playlist for the Dead" by Michelle Falkoff. Since then, I forgot this blog.

Not until my mother, my mother's younger sister, my older brother, my older brother's two (2) nephews, two (2) niblings (nephew and niece), and/& I had our coffee time at the Daang-Hari branch of Coffee Project in Cavite.

The branch has the flowery/leafy decorations hanging in the ceiling. There's also a similar decoration in the unisex restroom in a bike-like decoration.

In the unisex restroom, there's a quote of Albert Einstein, with some trivia tidbits. There's also a wall consist of post-it notes and pieces of notes.

The time we went there last night, the branch is not that crowded.

I didn't know that former politician Mr. Manny Villar co-own the aforementioned coffee shop, not until few minutes ago.

Visual effects in the movie industry.

It's been a long time since my last post. Sorry about that.

When I was still a teenager, I have been movies in Hollywood are being made. Particularly, the visual effects used in films.

I have this fascination on how the visual effects are being made in films/motion pictures, particularly in the science fiction/sci-fi and fantasy movies.

McDonald's Philippines' Fish and Fries

For the past two (2) years McDonald's Philippines offered their customers with Double Fillet-O-Fish. This year, the popular local fast food chain a British twist. It is called "Fish and Fries".

I think they offer this because of the Lent season.

It contains fries and crispy fish fillet. It has only one fish fillet. It also comes a dip of your choice, with either Sweet & Sour, Tangy Thousand Island, or Creamy Tartar Sauce.

Please be informed that McDonald's Philippines offer this for a limited time only.

Landers Superstore in Balintawak, Quezon City.

Landers Superstore opened last year, but yesterday was the first (1st) time that I went there.

The Balintawak branch is the very 1st branch of Landers Superstore. The second (2nd) branch is in Otis, Manila. The third (3rd) branch will be opened soon in Cebu.

The Balintawak is big and spacious. The main sections are divided in two (2): the left side is focused on items like meat, chicken, fish, ready-to-eat food like noodles, snacks like Lay's, condiments like sauces, and the like. While other the other half, the right side, are items, like clothes, chairs, etc.

Landers have clean restrooms/comfort rooms.

Landers also have a small section for plants. There's a babershop called Talas Manileño, who owned by Filipino actor Jericho Rosales.

They have food store for those who are hungry or those who want to eat. It is called Landers Central. Landers Central have pizza, hotdogs, fried chicken, and others. There's (there is) a coffee shop called Doppio. And a bakery called Dough & Co.

I'm (I am) sorry if I don't (do not) have any pictures/photos of my visit.

Landers Superstore is like S&R. Landers and S&R require a membership. And unlike S&R, people can buy retail items. Landers have to present their cards to going inside of Landers, when their going to buy food in Landers Central, Doppio, Dough & Co.

There are employees to check your bought items, when you're (you are) leaving Landers Superstore.
