2015 Manila International Book Fair

I first learned about the schedule of this year's 36th Manila International Book Fair, is via the event's Facebook fan page.

The schedule is from September 16 to 20, 2015. That's two weeks from now. And the time of the book fair is open from 10 AM to 8 PM.

I remember that the event first held in World Trade Centre Manila, before transferring to SMX Convention Center. I also remember that the book fair had a week-long book fair, from Wednesday to Tuesday.

2015 Philippine Travel Mart

I first learned about this year's 2015 Philippine Travel Mart was on one of the Instagram posts of Philippine Tourism Department's Instagram account.

The travel expo will held at SMX Convention Centre, starting tomorrow until this coming Sunday. For more information visit this website/link. The event is also have a Facebook fan page.

Vanilla Cupcake Bakery, TriNoma

Last Tuesday afternoon, I was browsing the local/Philippine website of OpenSnap to find a cafe in the vicinity of Quezon City particularly cafes in TriNoma until I found Vanilla Cupcake Bakery.

Vanilla Cupcake Bakery is located in the 2nd Floor of TriNoma. And it is located near the reverse fountain.

My first time there was yesterday lunch, while waiting for the second screening time of “Inside Out” in Cinema 1.

So my food is called Country Breakfast. It is consists of 2 sliced bread, sausage, scrambled egg, and fries. I noticed that the fries are in the style of potato wedges.

At first, I thought two sliced breads are toasted, but isn’t. The scrambled egg is okay. The sausage is a little bit spicy. And I like the fries.

And originally, my drink is Pink Strawberry. But the cashier told me that most of the frappes are not available that time except for Oreo Chocolate.

Oreo Chocolate is consisting of chocolate drink and a small piece of Oreo cookie.

The Oreo cookie has the same taste of the Oreo being sold at supermarkets and convenience stores. I like the sweetness of the chocolate drink.

As for the restaurant’s ambiance, my observance is that like you’re in a house.

Inside Out (2015 film)

“Inside Out” is one of the movies I anticipated to watch this year in the cinemas. Like the previous Pixar films, this movie is commercial/financial and critical success.

The five (5) emotions have their own roles to play. Maganda yung movie. Even the background music. The movie contains comedy and drama.

I like the concept of the movie, of its subject matter. The five emotions (anger, disgust, fear, joy, and sadness) incorporated in the movie’s sophisticated story.

By the movie’s climax:

* Joy realizes Sadness’ role, to alert others when Riley needs help;

* Bing Bong, Riley’s imaginary friend sacrifices himself to help Riley, Joy and Sadness;

* Disgust angers Anger when Sadness and Joy is about to fall at edge of the Headquarters before falling to the Memory Dump. With Anger’s fire on his head, Disgust use it help Joy and Sadness. Fear help the latter 2 characters climb.

At this scene when Joy gave Sadness the chance to use the control console and gave the core memories. In this scene made me cry.

There’s a special scene being featured in the beginning of the end credits.

“Inside Out” is my second favorite movie all time, the first being “Finding Nemo”.

I do admit that “The Fault in Our Stars” made me teary-eyed. “Inside Out” made me cry.

My second (2nd) time Ginza Bairin in TriNoma.

I don't remember the first (1st) time that I ate at Ginza Bairin in TriNoma. But the second (2nd) time was last time at the aforementioned mall.

I forgot the name of the food I ordered last night. The restaurant also offers unlimited rice, cabbage, and mizo/miso soup. The unlimited cabbage is shredded.

Okay naman yung tonkatsu na may cheese. Malambot naman siya. Okay din yung pagkaluto. Okay yung pagkaprito.

Medyo kamahalan ang mga pagkain nila. Lalo't originally from Japan ang Ginza Bairin.

Philippine Literary Festival 2015

I don't remember how I learned about the first (1st) ever Philippine Literary Festival. The 2014 Philippine Literary Festival was held in Raffles Makati.

For this year's Philippine Literary Festival, if my memory serves me right, I learned it from one our Saturday issue of Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Last year, I only remember Amy Tan as one of the foreign authors. This year, it is Matthew Quick and Meg Wolitzer.

Seattle's Best Coffee's Big Breakfast 3

I don't remember the last I ordered this breakfast meal from Seattle's Best Coffee. I tried this when I was at the TriNoma branch of Seattle's Best Coffee. The medium-sized drinks are free when a customer uses his/her August coupon from his/her 2015 SBC Dream Journal.

The customer may choose any breakfast meal from the menus of the aforementioned coffee shop. The staff also ask you if you like scrambled egg or fried/sunny side up egg.

Jack 'N Jill's Chiz Crispers

Okay naman yung Chiz Crispers ng Jack 'N Jill. Lasang Clover Chips ng Leslie's.

If you're asking me of which I like between the two, I prefer the latter. With no offence sa Jack 'N Jill.

St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori in Magallanes, Makati City.

The very first (1st) time I visited the church of St. Alphonsus Mary de Liguori in Magallanes, Makati City, was 5 (five) years ago. During that time, it was the wedding day of my older brother.

And the 3rd (third) time I was at there, was my second nephew's baptism. This time, I wasn't late.

There's rain, after there is no more rain.

This happened during my first year in college, and during the first trimester when I was a 1st year student in college. 

During my first year in college, and during the first trimester when I was 1st year student in college, before I go to college, there is rain when I left home and when I arrived to the college that I attended.

When my classes ends at 12 noon, there’s (there is) no more rain. The rain ends mid-morning. Maaraw na pagdating ng 12 PM.

On last week's classes.

Last week, the day my nephew go to school is Tuesday. It is because to Typhoons Egay and Falcon.

I remember when I was a high school student that the afternoon classes is suspended. I don't know the reasons. Only the morning classes have classes. I have morning classes at that.

I also remember that when I was 3rd/third year high school student and all my classes are in the afternoon, every time I eat breakfast, my mother tells I don't have classes on that (particular) day. Hindi ko alam kung anong oras in-announce na walong pasok noon panahong yun.

2015 Nestlé Choose Wellness Expo

Last Saturday, I attended 2015 Nestlé Choose Wellness Expo in Mega Trade Halls on SM Megamall.

I registered via email. Last year, I registered via Facebook. I tried using my Yahoo! Mail. I didn't received any verification email. I used my Gmail.

On the previous years, the nutritionists/dieticians get some of the attendees' information on health (i.e. BMI, height, weight, etc.). This year, they didn't do it. Hindi ko maalala kung may ganitong scenario last year.

In the survey area, sinabi ko yung nasa 3rd/third paragraph.

With regarding with my shoulders and my triceps.

Last Wednesday last week, I went to the house gym of one of our neighbors. Two of the men there gave me tips. At first, I used 5 pounds; sometimes 10 pounds; sometimes 15 pounds; and the last 20 pounds, until I used 45 pounds of 20 and 25 pounds.

Noong Huwebes ng umaga hanggang Biyernes, nanginginig ang balikat ko. Kapag ginagalaw ko ang mga braso ko, nararamdam ko na may pangangalay ang lower left ng kaliwang braso ko at yung lower right ng kanang braso ko.

One reason kaya ako nakikigamit sa kanila, dahil kilala ko ang mga tao doon.

On my shoulders, and my triceps.

Yesterday morning until yesterday evening; medyo masakit yung either balikat ko. Kahit yung either triceps ko.

Nabigla siguro sa bigat nung mga bilog na equipements* na ginamit ko nung Wednesday/Miyerkules ng hapon. Hindi na gaano masakit yung shoulders at mga triceps ko.

* Hindi ko alam ang tawag sa ganun. According to the person I know, some of their equipments are used for chest** and triceps.

** Hindi ako sigurado kung sa chest yung ibang gym equipments nila.

On working out again.

It’s been 13 years since I use the small house/home gym of one of my neighbors. Yes, you read it right, thirteen years. The first (1st) time I went there, way back 2002.

There are some (some?) changes there. The equipments are in different locations. May equipment na ginamit ako na medyo madikit. Hindi ako sigurado kung ako ang inilagay nila sa dalawang bars dun sa equipment na yun.

Mas pinagpawisan ako sa pagalis ng gamit na bilog*, kesa dun sa paggamit ng mga equipments.

Medyo nangalaw ang balikat ko.

* Sorry, hindi ko alam ang tawag sa mga dun.
